Got a Problem? Need some Advice?

Most young people have problems or need advice at sometime or another so if you are experiencing any problem, if your are worried about something, if you need some advice or information then you are not alone.

Teens in Crisis helps hundreds of young people who live in Gloucestershire aged 9 - 21 and need help every year. This page will tell you about the different types of help that are available to you and how you can get hold of it.

Getting Advice by logging onto Internet Advice Pages

The internet is great way of getting hold of some useful help without having to face anyone. There are loads of fantastic sites that offer some great information, help or advice on virtually every subject going. If you click on to our web site www.teensincrisis.org.uk and follow the buttons Teen Advice or Links you will discover sites with great advice. If the issue you are seeking help for is not listed then you can email us requesting we put a link up. We will do our best to find a good site within five days.

Getting Advice and Support by Email

If you have a specific problem and you would like some help and advice by email then you can email one of our advisors today. You can email us:   help@teensincrisis.org.uk

Or visit our web site and click the Email Us button. We will send you a reply in complete confidence within five days.

Alternatively many of the links we have listed to other web sites offer the option for you to email someone.

Getting advice and support by talking on the telephone

We do not provide a helpline however if you want to talk to someone over the phone we can porvide you with a list of helplines that you may find useful. Again many of the links on our web sites detail helplines you can call.

Getting support by speaking with someone face to face

At Teens in Crisis we can offer young people who live in Gloucestershire the opportunity to talk to someone face to face for counselling.

It is totally free and all you need to do is call 01594 544281 or email us and ask if you can have some counselling.

If you over 14 we do not need to tell your parents, but if you are under 14 we will need your parents permission.

The counsellor will ask for your name and age and where you live (not your full address if you don't want to give it) and take a contact number or email so they can let you know a date and time.

Within 4-6 weeks you will be able to meet with someone face to face at one of our centres. We will give you directions.

Getting Help by Texting someone

At the moment this is hard to come by and we are working hard to get hold of numbers you can text for help, however we have found one.

1. Bullying by Text
If you are being bullied by text, Mobile users text the word BULLY to 60000 to receive a message with advice on how to get support.
