| ASTRA - Alternative Solutions To Running Away | |

The Project aims to reduce
the incidence of persistent running away among young people living in
Gloucestershire and provides information, support and advice to young people up
to the age of 18 who have run away, or who are thinking of running away.
P Listen to what young people have to say P Take them seriously
P Encourage them to make decisions
P Support them to resolve the problems which cause them to run away P Enable them to access other support services including emergency
accommodation if needed, where possible
We will take phone calls
from anyone in Gloucestershire worried about themselves or someone else who is
running away, or thinking of doing so. We work with anyone under 18 whose family
home is in Gloucestershire, including young people living away from home.
Referrals can be made by young people themselves, parents or
professionals who have some knowledge of the young person and/or their family.
